Inmate Bail

Posting Bail:
If you wish to post someone’s bail you will need to come to the Kennebec County Correctional Facility’s lobby and press the button on the wall to the left of the tinted glass window for assistance.  Please advise the officer that you are there to post bail for Inmate’s Name.  When the Officer slides the drawer open, you will place your money in the drawer and the Officer will verify that you have the necessary amount to pay the inmate’s bail.

After the bail amount is verified, an officer will contact a Bail Commissioner.  The Bail Commissioner will meet with you in the lobby to collect the money and have you sign the bail paperwork.
